The book presents outcomes of the three waves of international comparative sociological survey conducted by theInstitute of SociologyoftheNASofUkraine within the frames of the European Social Survey (ESS), all-European monitoring project, in which 32 countries participated. Professor Roger Jowell from the University of London is the supervisor of ESS project. In Ukraine, the poll was conducted with nationwide sample in January–April 2005, in December 2006 – January 2007, and in December 2008 – January 2009 by theInstitute of SociologyoftheNASU and supervised byE. Golovakha (national representative in theESS Scientific Advisory Board) andA. Gorbachyk (national coordinator of the project in Ukraine). The project was financed by theInternational Renaissance Foundation and the NAS ofUkraine.
